It is that time of year, Thanksgiving to New Year and the parties and festive meals begin to dominate your schedule. The focus here is to give you a strategy to not allow those parties and meals to dominate your waist line.
Timing is most important. Eat slowly and take your time chewing. Those 2 items, alone, will limit your weight gain. Try to eat early at evening events and limit intake past 10pm. It is important to always leave the table or stop eating when you know you could eat more. These strategies are actually more effective than worrying about what you are eating. You should enjoy holiday foods, however, they should not enjoy finding a permanent home in your fat cells.
As we have discussed in prior blogs, 2 teaspoons of cider vinegar in 4-6 oz. of water, will go a long way to reducing digestive inflammation. There are cider vinegar drinks available, combined with ginger and honey. You may find these more appealing. About 4-6 oz. per day, usually first thing in the morning, before coffee is best.
You will have a healthy and enjoyable holiday season by limiting your Holiday Expansion!
