Healthy Living

THE LEARNING CURVE

It is end of spring semester at colleges and universities.  Prior to the final for my class I will review for the cumulative final.  I will show the class videos from the first 2 weeks of class and let them realize that they can now analyze the action and determine body movement. It is an anatomy and kinesiology course.  They will be reminded that when first shown the videos, in January, it seemed impossible for them to see what I was pointing out.  Now, 5 months later, they can see those details and more!  LEARNING CURVE.

The same is true of your health and fitness and changes needing to be made.  Diet changes, exercise changes, lifestyle changes must all become routine for them to have full affect.  This takes time, maybe the same time as a 15-week semester or longer.  Small steps and modifications to match your lifestyle will help.  This is what we do best in our offices.  Transfer the daily care to you, the patient, in a way that it becomes just what you do, not a separate chore.

So do not despair, if you are losing weight slowly or taking “too much” time to get in bathing suit shape.  There is a LEARNING CURVE and you need to be persistent.  We can help.
