Pregnancy and Healthy Body- Pre and Post Delivery

While pregnancy should always be a joyous experience, it can and often does include some discomfort. Knowing how to best manage your pregnancy pain before and after your delivery is crucial.   The following can help you keep pain at bay during every stage of your pregnancy.

How to Manage Pregnancy Pain

Pre-Delivery

When it comes to pregnancy pain before delivery, back discomfort is a common complaint. Luckily, pregnant women can do several things to mitigate this. Weight control is at the top of the list. While it’s important for pregnant women to maintain a healthy weight, gaining too much weight can put undue strain on one’s back. Eating nutritious foods and participating in light exercise can make a positive impact on your overall health.

If back pain is still an issue, consider changing out your mattress for a firmer model. Additionally, pay close attention to your posture, as this can have a huge impact on the health of your back and the occurrence of pain and discomfort. In terms of at-home treatments, something as simple as a warm bath can have quite an influence on your pain level. We will choose yoga “type” poses that are best for you specifically, teach you how to complete the pose and picture the pose on your smartphone. This will enhance your ability to reduce pain and stiffness.

Post-Delivery

After your baby arrives, you might experience bouts of post-pregnancy pain. In this case, chiropractic kinesiology care is an effective option. Nursing women are typically not able to take certain medications, especially high-strength painkillers. Luckily, applied kinesiology is all-natural and free of harmful side effects and other complications.  Keeping you and the new member of your family healthy and happy.
