NEW YEAR BRINGS NEW DIET NEW EXERCISE NEW YOU


So what will be the new diet of the 2020?  Will it be, zone, carb free, not to mix carb and protein?  What will be the new exercise that will give you the Olympian body, this is after all and Olympic year.  Ultimately, there is no perfect diet nor exercise program that fits all. 

Diet first:

The only diet that will work for you is the one that is designed for you.  Typically, the patient and myself will arrive at the best diet within 4 weeks of trial in food groups and timing.  Weight loss is the new year resolution, but health and proper body composition, fat vs lean, should be the goal.  The diet must be easy to maintain and fit into your lifestyle. Not change your lifestyle to fit into the diet.

Exercise is next:

It needs to be reasonable, affordable and accessible.  You must be evaluated, and we will determine the level at which you will begin.  I often have patients tell me what they can fit in by location, time and cost.  Then we work from there to come up with your exercise routine.  It could be a home program, a gym program or a class program.  Add in the exercise and you are well on your way to health, fitness.
