Start your game – physically and mentally – with an on-court “star” drill. Stand on court at the center of the service line. (H) Run forward to the net (3) and then backward to the starting point (H). Continue with side to side run, right (2) and left (1), to the extreme points on the court. Always keeping your chest facing the net. By adding the four corners, sideline and net, sideline and baseline, diagonal run is established. When completed you can see that you will have traced a “star” on the court. This endurance workout prepares you for court movements and creates court sense –learn how many strides you need to move from side to side and increase your advantage on court.
