CORE CONDITIONING
Another current “in” fitness movement appears to be core conditioning that trains the trunk, both front and back. Exercises for the abdominal region, neck and chest are, of course, important and should be addressed as part of your overall training. But with all new or rediscovered exercises, I have made several observations: First of all, the latest exercise method may not be the right one or best one for you . Second, it isn’t necessary to change your entire workout to focus on the newest fashionable craze publicized at your health club. Finally, don’t spend time overworking specific muscle groups at the expense of others. I’ve found that individuals who cross-train can accept all types of physical activity, including skiing, swimming, running, tennis, golf and many others. Too much focus on one activity can impair your coordination.
